The art demonstration by Debbie Hinks, on Saturday 19 June, was very well attended. Debbie gave two examples of portraiture, the first worked on sugar paper (bearded man) and the second on the smoother fabriano cartridge paper. She used willow charcoal for softer line work and the condensed charcoal for firmer lines. Debbie also used a plastic rubber as well as sennelier pastels for highlights and pastel pencils for the detailed areas as shown in these pictures.
She runs life drawing classes and portrait sessions (in real life) on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at Lawrence studio, Hove and LIVE Portrait sessions via Zoom run on Thursday evening 7 to 8pm, For more details please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
